School visits and the DVD

DVD cover

To help those schools who are unable to have a visit in person, Anne has teamed up with ChildrensAuthors.tv to produce a DVD that is in effect a cyber visit, but with the additional benefit that it can be taken off the shelf and enjoyed over and over again. The producers say: "Now, for a fraction of the cost of a visit, every school in the world can intimately enjoy the company of some of their favourite authors and illustrators, with the help of schoolchildren who spend the day with them and discover lots of things we'd all like to know, but may never get the chance to ask."

Here's more information about the DVD, including a trailer.

Books

Many of Anne Fine's books have been produced in special editions and special packs for schools, and some have been turned into plays suitable for school production. Step by Wicked Step was broadcast by BBC Schools Radio in January/February 2003 and Anne Fine has written for teachers about the radio adaptation.

You may also be interested to read Anne’s answers to questions about Bill’s New Frock, and her comments for adults about why she wrote The More The Merrier, a book for 8-12 year old children that was published in September 2003.
